Liberty Family Restaurant

A really great family restaurant in Peru. My mom wanted to go here and I see why, there are good specials and a menu that has something for everyone. Mom got the taco salad special which was a huge serving for $12. A good scoop full of taco meat and lots of cheese. I got the vegetarian omelet with Monterey Jack cheese and a side of hash browns. A hefty omelet with lots of fresh vegetables. Our waitress was lovely (I didn't get her name aaaa!) and said she had been waitressing for 40 years.

Came in last minute didn't realize they closed in five minutes when I found out said I could go somewhere else they told us it was fine don't worry about it . They were very nice and had great service the food came out fresh and was great ,nice sit down restaurant would highly recommend!

I stopped for dinner around 5pm on a Wednesday. There were a few people in the restaurant, so they had a lot of tables open. I was seated right away. My server was very friendly and helpful. They have a very large menu, one so that anyone can find something to eat. I asked my server a couple of questions on her preferences and chose to order the French dip with cheese. My meal came out in approx. 5 min's, and everything was hot. The sandwich was a decent size and had a good flavor. The French fries were fat cut crinkle fries, and really good in crispness and flavor. If there was anything I would change, they could use a better au jus. What they served was a little bland. Overall, a good experience and I would be back if ever in the area.

I came here on Wednesday with my family. It wasn't very busy but the food was great. I ordered the French dip sandwich deluxe, which came with fries and chicken noodle soup. I did enjoy the sandwich, the meat was very tender and delicious. The soup definitely tasted homemade and I did like it. My mom had the mushroom and Swiss burger deluxe, she loved her food. My dad had a bacon cheeseburger deluxe and he loved his food. My fiancé had the Athenian skillet with toast and he loved his food as well. Everyone was full and happy.

Well looking for a place to eat breakfast this morning. Checked Yelp and found the liberty family restaurant. It looks like one of those local restaurants, It should have good food and good service. So I decided to check it out. From everything I've seen, it looks great. From the menu I ordered eggs over medium with a ribeye steak. I am looking forward to enjoying the meal. Be sure to try American fries. They are awesome. The French toast looked yummy. I will have to remember to order to go. My girlfriend is sleeping in this morning Well just finished up an excellent breakfast staff is great friendly this is one of those local joints that the regulars come to have their debates about the Cubs baseball is a hot topic around here. I just about forgot to order Peg's French toast, which I'm waiting for an out as soon as that comes, taking our delicious breakfast back to the hotel room you should try the place highly recommend it.
